Viennese citizens can quickly and easily get immunized against the virus with the Corona vaccine of their choice next week. The special vaccination campaign runs from Monday to Sunday at the Austria Center Vienna.
As with previous vaccination weeks, no registration is necessary for the week of August 2-8. Anyone can come to the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and get vaccinated without fuss. All you need to bring is an identity card and, if available, an e-card. According to the city of Vienna, there is enough vaccine available. Around 3,000 vaccinations are expected daily. On the website of the Austria Center, a traffic light will indicate the capacity utilization of this vaccination service at any given time.
BionTech/Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson: The vaccine can be freely selected during the campaign. BioNTech/Pfizer and Moderna vaccines can be used to vaccinate individuals twelve years of age and older. AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson are also available to persons 18 years and older. The interval between the second partial vaccination can be flexibly agreed upon, according to a statement on Saturday. With Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine, only one prick is needed for full immunization.
Other vaccination campaigns continue
In addition to the campaigns at the Vienna Austria Center, vaccinations will continue to be carried out by appointment at the ACV as well as in the vaccination streets of the City of Vienna and the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK). In addition to the vaccination box on Rathausplatz, eight further vaccination boxes will be in operation throughout the city next week. On weekends, vaccinations will also be carried out in one box each on the Danube Island and at the Stadionbad as well as on the Old Danube with the vaccination boat.
